Our innovative groups utilize equine-assisted therapy, music therapy, art therapy, yoga therapy, and other trauma-informed methods. For parenting groups, please visit our parenting page.

2024 SUMMER GROUPS

Music Connection Group
for Toddlers Age 3 and Their Caregivers
May 30 - June 27, 2024
Thursdays 9:00 a.m. - 9:40 a.m. at Phoenix Center
Free-of-Cost

This group is a music therapy group facilitated by a Board-Certified Music Therapist for toddlers with emotional and/or behavioral challenges and their caregivers. This group will promote brain development, regulation, connection, and attachment. We will meet for four weeks starting Thursday May 30th, 2024 and ending Thursday June 27th, 2024. Please note the group will not meet on Thursday June 13th.


Equine-Assisted Therapy Group
for Youth Entering 6th - 8th Grades
June 19 - July 24, 2024

Join us for a 6-week trauma-informed equine-assisted therapy group for youth entering grades 6th -8th.

Please note that this equine-assisted therapy group is located at the Corwin Hills Equestrian Center and focuses on ground work and therapeutic activities, not riding. Directions will be emailed after you register.

Music & EMDR Therapy Group
for Teens Entering 9th - 12th Grades
June 20 - August 1, 2024

Join us for an in-person music therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) group for teens where we will learn, explore, connect and grow through music, art, and EMDR. This group is a music therapy and EMDR group facilitated by a Board-Certified Music Therapist and an EMDR trained therapist. There will be a parent support group offered at the same time for the parents of the teens participating.  


Grief Therapy Group
for Youth Entering 6th - 8th Grades
July 10 - July 31, 2024

In addition to groups for students, Phoenix Center also facilitates individual therapy sessions and crisis counseling at multiple public school campuses, including Marble Falls Middle School, Highland Lakes Elementary School, Falls Career High School, and Marble Falls Elementary School. Additionally, Trauma-Informed educational trainings are provided for Head Start, Llano ISD, Burnet ISD, and Marble Falls ISD educators and administrators.  Learn more on the training page of our website.
